Winner of both best Israeli feature film and best debut film awards at the Jerusalem Film Festival this year, Red Cow follows 17-year-old Benny, an only child who lives with her religious zealot father in a settlement in East Jerusalem. The close but tense father-daughter relationship is put to the test when new arrivals – that of a red heifer seen by the father as a sign of salvation, and a young woman with whom Benny falls deeply in love – push them further apart.
Warning: Film contains scenes of a sexual nature.
