Bye Bye Germany

Frankfurt, 1946. David Bermann has survived the war by teaching Hitler how to tell jokes (or so he says). Now living in a Displaced Persons camp, he tries to expand his shady linen business with the help of his gang of fellow survivors while fending off accusations of Nazi collaboration. Heartwarming, colourful and humorous, Bye Bye Germany sensitively explores what motivated thousands of Jewish survivors to stay put after the war and their lingering guilt over staying alive.
